Good Staff Means Good Business

It's simple: Be hospitable. We're the last industry of true humanity, of community and interpersonal contact in an automated age. Don't take that away. Go out there and have fun again. Everything else will fall into place. It always has, and always will.

This passage relates to other articles I read on the restaurant industry because they all agree that good hospitality and interest in the cooking business is the way to get successful in the restaurant world. People would wether go to a restaurant with good service and great cooked food then a high end restaurant with okay service and food. Without a passion for the restaurant industry or some drive you will never be able to make it in the restaurant biz.

You can't exceed customer expectations only when you're fat and happy. You have to do it all the time. That's the only way to stay successful. We've created customers that are smarter than us, know more than us, and want what they want. Exceeding expectations doesn't just happen. It's something that you manage, something that you do every day, all the time. Once you do it, you can't take it away from your guests. They want it every time.

I agree with this passage because the customer does want to walk in a restaurant and have the service exceed their expectations. If you can do that all the time customers will keep coming back to your restaurant. Without good and a friendly staff, running a restaurant would be really hard. I also agree that if you exceed your customers expectations once you have to do it all the time otherwise they will get bored of your restaurant.
