I chose my topic because I really love nature. It’s upsetting to me that we are polluting the Earth so quickly and unsustainably. I've always been passionate about this issue, because I spend a lot of my time outside.
Camping is one of my favorite things to do, and I won’t be able to do that if nature keeps getting destroyed. I used to go twice a year with my aunt and uncle, but now I go with my friends. I hope to continue this tradition throughout my life, especially when I have kids of my own.
I’m interested in the political side of saving the environment because I want to know what the government is doing to help sustain it.

- Do the people and the government feel that it’s their moral duty to help the environment?
- Does the cost of helping it matter?
- Is it ultimately the people’s or the government’s responsibility?
- Should environmental education be mandatory?
