Philosophy
My research group chose the over all research question of "what determines happiness and what are its effects in society?" My personal hypothesis is: "the happiness of a certain country is directly related to the success of their economy". The reason I chose to research this topic is because I have always found myself baffled by the difference of economies within different countries. Especially with my love for traveling, this information will benefit me throughout my life when visiting other countries. Happiness is defined in a different way by everyone living on this planet, so is money the true definition of happiness?
Sub-questions:
1. Does money have the same value in each country?
2. Does money motivate others like it does Americans?
3.Is happiness the result of obtaining money?
4.Can a nation be happy with a failed economy?
