Ozone Depletion

Human activity has severely affected the ozone in a negative way. Manufacturing processes and pollution from individual humans has caused ozone depletion. Ozone holes have been opened over major cities, such as Punta Arenas, Chile. This is a highly populated city, and the opening of an ozone hole caused for major alarm.
Since then we have made efforts to help our ozone- for instance, the United States has been trying to cut back on using methyl bromides. However, many nations do not have the resources to monitor the production of ozone-depleting chemicals.
The reduction of methyl bromide and other chemicals such as CFC in the atmosphere has quadrupled the levels of skin cancer, increased cataracts, and increased the rates of  non- Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Reducing these chemicals has not solved the problem of ozone depletion and has caused other problems in return.

  1. This is an interesting topic-I didn't realize that there were such bad side effects to reducing our use of those chemicals. I suggest maybe going deeper into those side effects and bringing in more quotes to support your points.

  2. You may want to look into the NCPA's stance on the ozone and if it is worth worrying about. Here is a link to an article you should read: http://www.ncpa.org/pdfs/st191.pdf

I think it would be a good incite to you and give more depth and accountability to your blog post.
