The Coffee Empire

Coffee has made an impact over the years.  It is an international commodity that is in high demand from people known as roasters.  These roasters buy the coffee beans in large quantities and then roast or make the coffee itself and sell it to to coffee customers.  According to the International Trade Centre, “The structure of the coffee trade in North America, most of Western Europe and Japan is very similar.”  With this being said, the way roasters get their coffee is in same way.  Both the trader and buyer take responsibility in transporting the coffee commodity.  They make plans on how to transport the goods across sea and land.  However, when the coffee is delivered to the roaster, most people think that the coffee is ready to be roasted.  This is not true.  According to International Trade Centre, “Not all coffee is always immediately sold to a roaster. Before arrival an individual parcel of coffee may be traded several times before it is eventually sold to a roaster.”  Similar to what we just learned in Economics class, people use price expectation in the coffee market. Some roasters buy coffee in advanced hoping that the price will rise a month or two in the future.  If the price does rise, these roasters sell to other roasters to make a profit.  The market for the coffee industry is wide and vast that provides the coffee shops with the necessary products at the right price in order to strive.

  1. I like the content of your article, but I think you need to change the format, instead of using one long narration, it'll be better if you break it into paragraph and close it with short summary or closing statement.

  3. It's an interesting topic, and your title drew me in. There are a few grammar mistakes so just be more careful with your editing, and you use the same set up for your quotes. Try to vary how you give credit to the article/person that said the quotes. The blog post is very informational but since you do have such a narrative tone to it, maybe have an anecdotal intro or something more than just your first sentence to settle people into the topic.
