Zaha Hadid is an Iraqi-British architect, and the founder of Zaha Hadid Architects. She first started studying mathematics, then she moved to London in 1972 to study architecture at the Architectural Association and graduated in 1977.
She began working for a London firm, the Office of
Metropolitan Architecture. Later, she opened up her own office in 1980.
Her design ideas became famous before her actual design because she
entered many design contests.
She became known to the public when her design for
Cincinnati, Ohio's new Center for Contemporary Art was selected and built,
earning worldwide acclaim. By the mid-2000s Hadid employed nearly 150 people in
her London office and was working hard to keep up with new commissions that
were coming in, offering her a chance to help reshape the world architectural
landscape.
Aside from her own practice, Hadid is also involved in education and teaching. She holds chairs and guest professorship at Harvard University, Yale University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Columbia University, the University of Visual Arts in Hamburg and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
She was the first women who received the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. She also received Stirling Prize in 2010 and 2011.
Previous Projects:
2003- the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati was Hadid's first project in the United States. It was a huge critical success.

2010- Hadid designed Maxxi, the National Center for Contemporary Arts in Rome. It is one of Hadid's most praised works. It won the Stirling award in 2010.

Hadid was commissioned to build the aquatics center in London before the city won the bid for the 2012 games. During the games it was one of the main venues used.

I found it incredibly interesting to see a blog post made up primarily of pictures. It was a great attention grabber for the reader. I like how you focused on one architect and her works and evaluate the success of each and inform the reader about their background. You give the reader a nice timeline of her past works versus her current projects.
