Moving the Film Industry

In an article I read called Hollywood film production in bad spiral as competition bites.by Tim Reid he covers how competition can influence the location of where the hot spot of the movie industry is. He goes over how this change in location is happening and also why the change is happening.

Where currently is the main source of movie industry located and why is it failing?
Currently the movie industry is in Hollywood, Los Angeles and has had the most exposure to the riches of the film industry. The reason to why Hollywood is starting to fail is because the film studios have been offering the same fiances for the past years whereas new spots are offering better financial incentives which is just overall more appealing to directors. There has also been a decline in employment in L.A. and due to this people are seeking jobs and in an ever lasting industry opportunity is key. Employees were seeking for more of an annual salary as well which it couldn't afford.

Where is the movie industry starting to relocate and why?

Currently the home of the film industry lies in the west coast, but now is transitioning to the other side of the country in the city of New York. The film industry in New York is up and coming their use of marketing is attracting more revenue and attention than can be imagined and by doing so this creates more jobs which can influence people to move their business from L.A. to New York. In an expanding industry New York is banking off the things that Hollywood did years ago.
